  3.             README.TXT: LETTERHEAD.PRO FOR WORDSTAR FOR WINDOWS
  4.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  6.  This program will install 7 letterhead TEMPLATES, 6 logos, and 1 watermark 
  7.  into WordStar for Windows. Each letterhead may be selected when you open a NEW
  8.  document. When you are finished using Letterhead Pro, all templates and 
  9.  related files may be UNINSTALLED with CLEANUP.EXE. Use the RUN selection on
  10.  the Windows Program Manager menu (or equivalent), and select CLEANUP.EXE. This
  11.  is a special file that will remove all traces of Letterhead Pro templates and
  12.  associated files. It may also be run from DOS in the WSWIN\TEMPLATE directory.

  14.  The installation program is in two stages, DOS and Windows. The INSTALL 
  15.  program MUST be started from DOS by placing the diskette in a floppy drive and
  16.  typing INSTALL. Do NOT call up Windows and execute the RUN command. After 
  17.  completing the necessary DOS portion of the installation, INSTALL will call
  18.  up WordStar for Windows, and complete the installation. When PROLET.DOC is on 
  19.  screen, the installation is over and you are ready to begin. PROLET.WSD 
  20.  contains instructions on how to use Letterhead Pro. You will be shown how to
  21.  order your own customized letterhead, logo, and watermark. It is a WordStar
  22.  document and must be viewed and printed from inside WordStar.

  24.  You will be shown how you may obtain your own customized PCX graphic
  25.  letterheads for WordStar. All instructions, worksheets, and order forms are
  26.  included.  You may design your own letterhead, convert your present printed
  27.  letterhead, or have CPI Software design a letterhead for you. CPI Software 
  28.  will convert this letterhead design into a PCX image file, place it into a
  29.  WordStar Template, and return it to you. Each letterhead, logo, or watermark
  30.  is only $29.95 each.

  32.  If the printer you are currently using will print Window's pictures and
  33.  graphics, it will print graphical PCX letterheads. This includes lasers, 
  34.  ink jets, and dot-matrix printers.

  36.                                   INSTALLATION

  40.  1. Standard Installation:
  41.  
  42.  The STANDARD installation assumes that you have never changed the name of
  43.  WordStar's directory, and that it is still called "WSWIN." You will only have
  44.  to know the letter of the hard where WSWIN is located. Place the program 
  45.  diskette into any floppy drive and type INSTALL. Follow the on screen 
  46.  instructions. When LETPRO.WSD is on screen, the installation is finished and
  47.  you are ready to begin.

  50.  2. Custom Installation:
  51.  
  52.  This installation will let you place the letterhead templates into any 
  53.  directory you wish. However, you must know the path to WordStar's template
  54.  files. For example, if you renamed the WordStar template directory "TEM," then
  55.  this would be the full path:

  57.                                   C:\WSWIN\TEM

  59.  If you are not sure how you installed WordStar, then use this method. Locate
  60.  the WordStar template files before the installation, and write down the proper 
  61.  DOS path. Then start the installation by placing the Letterhead Pro program
  62.  diskette in any floppy drive. Type INSTALL, and follow the on screen 
  63.  directions. When LETPRO.WSD is on screen, the installation is completed.

  65.  3. Manual Installation:
  66.  
  67.  a. Locate where the WordStar template files (file endings WST) are located. 
  68.     
  69.     
  70.  b. Log onto the WordStar template directory, so that it is the current
  71.     directory. Then  use the DOS COPY command to copy TEMPLATE.EXE into that
  72.     directory. 
  73.     
  74.  c. When the TEMPLATE file is located in the WordStar template directory, type
  75.     TEMPLATE, and strike the ENTER key. The Letterhead Pro files will expand 
  76.     out of the TEMPLATE.EXE file. Then delete TEMPLATE.EXE with this command:

  78.                             DEL TEMPLATE.EXE
  79.  
  80.     Start Windows, and select the WordStar icon. When WordStar is on screen,
  81.     OPEN the file LETPRO.EXE in the WordStar template directory. You will find
  82.     full instructions for obtaining your customized letterhead templates in 
  83.     this file. After you are through using Letterhead Pro, you may UNINSTALL
  84.     all the Letterhead Profiles by selecting the CLEANUP.EXE file with the 
  85.     Windows Program Manager's RUN command.
